I love layering hair color textures and finishes. I am a fan of natural color palettes tweaked with a little rosé or dusty violet. I pride myself on creating elegant hair with an artistic twist. Hair color has come so far; we can decide on the shine level—it’s ideal to add a matte finish to hair that tends to become oily at the scalp, or to add a gloss to hair textures that tend to be dry. I approach hair cutting in the same manner. I stay up-to-date on trends. But what I’m really interested is creating the perfect hair for lifestyle, maintenance, and ability. Sometimes getting your hair done is the only self-care practiced, and I take that very seriously.

Even if you are having your best day ever, my intention is for you to feel even happier when you leave my chair.

I’ve been a hairstylist in Portland, Oregon for the past 15 years. Originally from Bend, I’ve called Portland home since 2002.

I’m inspired by natural color, texture, and effortless, low-maintenance styles that enhance what’s already beautiful about your hair. I love creating highlights that look like they’ve been kissed by the summer sun, or blending grays for a soft, youthful refresh.

At this time, I don’t offer vivid or fantasy colors, but I’m always happy to refer you to someone who does!

In my free time I enjoying spending time with my fiancé and dog at home and outdoors, and getting in as much competitive speed jigsaw puzzling in as possible.

I am a stylist of over 20 years and have been serving Portland's west side for the last 13 years. I am now making the move to my own neighborhood of Montavilla at Sparrow Salon and I am so excited to be more involved in my local community!

I have a passion for all facets of hair color, whether that be natural looking blondes, eye catching reds or lived-in, dimensional brunettes. I like working with fine hair by helping to create much needed texture with a razor, thick hair by balancing weight in thoughtful ways and wavy hair using different techniques learned while working in a curly focused salon. I love creating pixies, mid-length bobs and weightless layers on longer hair. My biggest passion is creating long lasting, easy to grow out hair color and helping clients understand how to care for and recreate their styles at home. I always strive to show up with a fresh perspective on your hair and to continue to problem solve solutions to your ever changing hair needs. 

When I am not in the salon I enjoy spending time gardening, hiking with my husband, son and dog Hazel, puzzles, games, seeing new movies (especially horror!) and learning new any art form I can get my hands on. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your hair dreams!

Original SoCal girl. I’ve made Oregon my home for over 21 years which has gotten me addicted to some really great coffee. Love to travel, the hustle of big cities excites me. I enjoy reading a good biography, a self help book or listening to a true crime podcast. Seeing live music is always a good time spent with my favorite people.

As an industry educator, teaching people & sharing knowledge is endlessly rewarding. Doing so keeps me grateful & motivated to stay current. And yes, I do love what I do, but in my next life I could be a professional comedian. Wink wink!!s here
